2. Fr. Düzeltme, tanzim. Asıl şeklini verme. Islah etme. Avrupa'da başlayan dinde reform hareketini, İslam dinine tatbik etmenin yeri yoktur. Çünkü İslam dini, bütün zaman ve mekanların insanlarına her cihetle cevap verecek camiiyette olduğundan ve ilmi esaslara dayanmış olarak asliyetini muhafaza ettiğinden, İslam dininde reform olamaz.
