- Fransız matematikçisi L. Pothenot (1660-1732) tarafından önerilmiş ve özel bir durumda incelenmiş geometrik problem. Düzlemde öyle bir M noktası bulunmalıdır ki bu noktadan aynı düzlemde yer alan AB ve CD aralıkları sırasıyla a ve B açıları altında görülsün. Problemin yüzden fazla çözümü bulunmuştur.
